Special Requirements and Considerations:

Everyone has a right to access the awards scheme. To ensure safety, well-being and success, we need to know about all ailments, injuries, learning and physical challenges. Special considerations include:

• Specific dietary requirements

• Heath Care Plans

• Recent injuries or ailments

• Reduced fee applicants

 

We sympathetically make considerations and allowances where possible, such as reduced fees, lightened rucksacks, reduced distances, and home overnight stays due to anxiety. A participant may be recovering from an accident or a recent illness but may still partake. All considerations and special requests must be pre-agreed and made via a D of E manager or school staff. Please include a Heath Care Plan where applicable. D of E is achievable by all no matter what. We will do our best to make that happen.

NB: We regret we are not disability specialists therefore any participant that is registered disabled must have a Heath Care Plan signed off by a specialist. We may ask that participants be supervised by a personal care provider to ensure their well-being. In all cases, we will cover safety aspects.
